How do I wash the pillowcase?

  1. Handwash in cold or slightly warm water, using mild detergent that is gentle on silk.
  2. Should you want to machine wash, always keep the pillowcase in a laundry bag.
  3. Rinse thoroughly after handwashing, removing all traces of soap.
  4. Hang Dry, never machine dry.
  5. Store your silk pillowcases folded, not hanged as it may cause distortion and stretching.

Is this authentic silk?

Yes for sure. Our silk pillowcases are made of authentic grade 6A natural mulberry silk. Our factory has been certified by OEKO-TEX which is the industry standard that tests all fabrics.

Why is it so expensive?

This is not a synthetic fabric like polyester or satin, nor is this a mass-produced material such as cotton.

Mulberry silk are produced in very limited quantities, due to the silkworms that feed on the mulberry plants. The amount of time and monetary investment it takes to grow them to maturity and farm the silk is substantial and all these costs adds up.

However, the end product is a marvelous fabric that contains various physical properties that don't just look or feel good, they also provide valuable health properties that can improve and maintain the health of your skin and hair.
